Many consider the parkland region of Alberta to be the heart of whitetail country as many fine trophies are taken annually. Good habitat, climate, and food availability combined, produced good densities of mature buck's with massive antler growth. High densities of mule deer are also in the parkland area in Alberta. The habitat we find these big bucks is similar to a patchwork design of interwoven hayfields, cultivated land for cereal crops, pastures and stands of willow and poplar.
